Creating in Recovery

Creating in Recovery or CIR works to bring the community of those in recovery together, with their supporters and family members, for an artistic experience. We have found that being creative increases a sense of well being, precense, and community. Engaging in art is a pathway to having healthy conversations with ourselves and supports our self-esteem and learning processes. Peer 180 provides all materials needed for these classes.

Creating in Recovery meets every other Saturday at The Station from 4:00-5:30 P.M!

CIR also includes Art Journaling in Active Recovery, or AJAR. This practice aims to help develop a creative support system using imagery and words with a variety of tools and mediums. This encourages us and others to grow as not only artists but also as people in recovery.

AJAR meets on the first Thursday of every month at the Station from 5:15-6:45 P.M.

Both CIR and AJAR are open to all persons in our community and no experience is neccessary!
